The History of the Airport Trophy

The success story of world-class handball in Kloten began with the first event in 2010 under the name of the title sponsor at the time, the Sympany Cup. The tournament was brought to life by Rolf Siegrist and Edi Wickli, who planned everything down to the smallest detail with their love of handball. From 2013, the tournament will be called the Airport Trophy and enjoys an excellent reputation in the handball world for its perfect organization and shows the best in young handball shortly before a world or European championship. Below you will find a lot of information about the previous events.
